Snorri Sturluson[a] (Old Norse: [ˈsnorːe ˈsturloˌson]; Icelandic: [ˈstnɔrːɪ ˈstʏ (r)tlʏˌsɔːn]; – 23 September ) was an Icelandic historian, poet, knight, and politician. [2] He was elected twice as lawspeaker of the Icelandic parliament, the Althing.
